Under The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act:
- Communicating with consumers at their place of employment after having been advised that this is unacceptable or prohibited by the employee.
- I had three different clients this week tell me their creditors were calling them at work but they had not instructed the creditor that they did not want to be called at work again or that they are not allowed to accept personal/creditor calls at work.
- It is important that you tell the creditors this. Keep track of who called, the time and the day the call was received. This information is valuable when seeking violation enforcement.
