When filing Bankruptcy, Debtors must be honest and disclose all assets and debts. Once in a blue moon, a person will ask me, "Well, how will they know I have a gun or coin collection? I just won't mention them and leave them off my list of assets."

Filing a Bankruptcy is to be taken seriously. Debtor’s must be honest, forthright and disclose everything. “When in doubt, disclose it and let your Attorney address it with you.” There are wonderful benefits that accompany filing a Bankruptcy, but the person filing has the burden of reporting accurate information, being thorough and honest. If they aren’t, the consequences are severe and include hefty fines and even prison time. See the Middle District of Florida’s Video. It is Judge Paul M. Glenn discussing Bankruptcy Fraud.
